Where does the time go?
As February is fast approaching so is our church's birthday. Yes
she will be 170 years old. And very deserving of a grand
celebration. We have so much to celebrate...the vast growth of
our congregation for one. As we expand our church family we are
experiencing the continue growth of God's love and joy for all
of his children. Our passion for God's word will continue to
show us the way.
As for the celebration we keep the plan's simple but fun...
+February 5th- from 8:30 to 9:30 join us for a pancake
breakfast buffet. Juice and coffee will be provided. Don't
forget to pick up your sub's after church in the gym.
+February 12th- During our Second Sunday Circle
Celebration we will receive the word from guest preacher, Brian
Saxe. After worship is a cupcake contest and a fun filled
kid's fest. There will be games (bible pursuit, toy walk, Elfie
the elephant just to name a few), prizes, door prizes and
cupcakes...a 170 cupcakes. To enter the cupcake contest...just
bring your entry's to the church by February 11 from 12 to 2 pm.
Only one rule, you must submit a dozen cupcakes and the recipe.
Grand prize? A 30 dollar gas card!!
+February 19th- And to c
elebrate the wonderful ministry of our Third Meal Sunday Team,
the Anniversary team will make with a hearty winter meal "Chili
Mac" and CAKE! Lots of cake. (It is an anniversary after all!)
+February 26th- The Grand Finale- YOUTH SUNDAY and the
Faith & Community Award. Oh yeah the kid's are back. And if you
attend Christmas Day services you know you do not want to miss
this one. Seeing the love of Jesus though their eyes...breath
taking. There will be a "Brunch" after the service in the chapel
as we celebrate the work, love and faith of our Faith &
Community award recipient.
How here's the best part...you don't even have to mark a
special day on your calendars...just don't miss a Sunday in
February and you won't miss out on any of the celebration!!
